Stenciling Idea...

I was in the Fabric store yesterday and was actually looking for some fabric for some new aprons and ran accross the quilting stencils... Hmmmmmm.... the ideas started rolling and so I bought a few of them on their sale and am going to try them on some fondant to see how I can make them work with cakes. Why not... they are precut and there are a million and ten of them available! Will let you know how they turn out... or not!

I am not sure what I am going to use on them. Next week will be the test... I am thinking trying some stenciling methods... maybe trying the royal icing scraping over the top but the color that I need to do for the next cake is silver on purple so I am thinking using a paintbrush and following the designs with the silver luster dust mixed with a bit of vodka. Will let you know.

I feel ya, I got 2 cakes for fair, 1 birthday cake project I am trying to get together for my brother, a sil and my mil all have birthdays in next 2 weeks too!
