1/2 cup of oil
1 cups of dry red wine
1/2 tsp salt
1 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp pumpkin pie spice
1/2 TBSP baking powder
1/2 cup sugar
3 - 3 1/2 cups flour
1 pound jar of honey
In a heavy saucepan let wine and oil come to a boil and boil for one minute. Remove from heat and let cool. Mix dry ingredients, using enough of the flour to make a medium soft dough. Add wine mixture. Mix and knead for five minutes. Let dough rest for 15 minutes. Form dough into small balls and keep covered. Roll ball into a piece 12 inches long by 1/2 inch thick. Cut off 1 inch piece san press over a grater or cut-glass bowl to make a design. Fry a few at a time in 360 degrees oil until golden brown. Drain. Bring honey to a boil and dip Crustillis, a few at a time. Let set for 1-2 minutes. Remove and lay on butter cookie sheets.
