Thumbs up Nut and Coconut Balls

4 C. chopped pecans
1 stick butter, melted
1 1/2 lbs. confectioners sugar
1 can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed milk
2 C. Angel Flaked coconut
1/4 lb paraffin wax
12 oz pkg chocolate chips

Mix together: form into balls (walnut size). refrigerate over night. Melt 1/4 pd. paraffin wax in double boiler: add chocolate chips. Dip balls in mixture: put on wax paper to harden..

You can also use any other chocolate, instead of chocolate chips.
or you can drizzle white chocolate over the dark chocolate to decorate.

Sounds like a good recipe. Too bad nuts are so expensive.

Yes that is a downfall to this recipe but so worth it, they are very very delicious. you may even could omit the nuts or use a another type of nut.

I have been buying Pecans from Sams for less than nine dollars for the 2 1/2 pound bags. Not sure why the price is so low. Walnuts have gone up to almost sixteen dollars for the same size bag. Not sure why walnuts are so high. I buy a lot of my nuts from the Nut Factory here on the Internet. My deep freezer is full of nuts since I use so many of them. Walnuts are good for your heart. Eat 4 ounces a day.

I have a friend that has 4 huge pecan trees in her yard and has told me that I am welcome to come over anytime and bag up as much as I want. It seems everything is going up so darn high...
