Buttermilk Devil's Food Cake from Cake Mix Doctor book
The Ingredients
Buttermilk devils food cake
1 pkg devils food cake mix
3 tbsp unsweetened cocoa powder
1 1/3 cups buttermilk
1/2 cup veg. oil
3 large eggs
1 tsp pure vanilla extract
It works great every time!
The Method
Mix all the ingredients together with an electric mixer on low speed for 1 minute. Stop, scrape down the bowl and mix on medium speed for 2 more minutes. Bake in well prepared cake pans.
The book says 350 degrees but I do 325. Whatever works best for you and depending on your pan size. Remove when cake springs back when pressed lightly with your finger and starts to pull away from the sides of the pan.
