Default Pudding in cakes

Hi All, I was just wondering about a recipe I have. It calls for a Devils Food cake mix with the pudding inside which I can't seem to find.
Can I use a DF mix and add a box of instant chocolate pudding mix?
Thanks for any advice.

yes mam! If it say pudding in the box of your cake mix it is prolly already added so you wont "see" it in the box. If that is what you are referring to.

Thanks 2sdae,I have a mix but it doesn't say that there is pudding in the mix. I can't find any that say the pudding is in the mix. I know I won't see it but doesn't it state on the package if there is pudding in the mix. What I want to know is if I can add instant pudding to a mix when the recipe calls for one with the pudding in it.
Hope I'm am not confusing you.
Thanks

You ceratainly can add the mix to any cake recipe just about. I also add them, the sugar free ones, to my scratch cakes too.
I use the sugar free so it doesnt add too much sugar to my cakes especially when doing a scratch recipe.
