It's been awhile since I made this, so forgive me if I'm a bit vague on it.
1 box cake mix (and ingredients called for on box; I usually use the Cake Mix Extender recipe)
cookie dough (any kind)
Prepare cake and pour into prepared pan(s). Take teaspoon sized balls of cookie dough on place on top of the cake (they will sit on top of the cake). Bake in the oven until toothpick inserted comes out clean. Cookies will sink to the bottom of the pan and form a crust.
I have never heard of this, sounds pretty cool. My guess is that the cookies will not bake faster because they pretty much end up submerged in the dough. Thanks!

How many teaspoon sized balls do you end up putting on the top of the cake? Where are they placed on the cake? Thanks for sharing.
hhhhhmmm, does it effect the baking times? Cookies cook so quick v/s cakes.
I believe since the cookies sink into the batter that they don't cook up as quickly as they would if they were baked on a cookie sheet. It should bake around the same length as your regular cake would.

I don't quite remember. I just did quite a few to cover most of the top of the cake. The cookie dough will spread as it sinks so you shouldn't have to cover it completely with dough.
