Question Painting

I know this is probably a stupid question, but is it possible to "paint" on a buttercream cake?

You could try it, but it would be trickier. I'm thinking a chocolate transfer or buttercream transfer would be more successful.

I didn't *think* you could paint on BC, but some of you guys know soooo much about stuff I'm totally clueless about , I thought there might be a chance. Oh well, that's the way the cookie crumbles...
