I have seen one recipe saying to use popcorn salt and one recipe saying to use regular salt. Will it taste to grainy if I use regular salt? Can you tell the difference? I can't find popcorn salt anywhere. If I go to the movies this weekend, I will take a zip lock baggie and get a few tbsp.

look at your grocers in the popcorn isle...they hide it there or in the isle with regular salt occasionally.
BUT I have heard of others using regular salt, you can also throw regular salt in the food processor to grind it down to popcorn salt, that's what it is a smaller finer grained salt.

I have been to 4 different grocery stores and no one has popcorn salt either with the spices or near the popcorn. Guess I'll have to try to mash it.
