Talking Re: Perfecting the Art of Buttercream

I bought this video from Sharon recently and have watched it several times! It is awesome! It really helps us who have fondant shoved at us be able to really improve our butter cream skills. It's an awesome idea and Sharon is perfect in this video, not to mention she is a dream. If you have any issues or difficulties with somethin you can always contact her and she'll bend over backwards to help you figure it out! I HIGHLY recommend this!
So bribe santa with a cake if he can manage to slip this in your stocking this year!

She does seem to know her stuff and I'm sure the video is worth buying...I just have soooo much I want...I mean need!
I have the same mixer and what I did was make a big batch and freeze for later in white what I didn't need so that when I need it it's there and ready to color!

I did too, unfortunately when the power went out for 6 days, everything had to be tossed. Including my huge batch of icing!

It probably would've been ok, but I was afraid the freezing then thawing and refreezing would mess it up so I didn't want to take chances.

It's kind of fun filling that huge mixer up with all that icing though.

I was just as facinated by the video as I was by the recipe! I've never heard of wedding bouquet flavoring, or of using coffee creamer in icing. Do you all use the recipe in the video, or do you use the technique with your own recipe? I have soooo much to learn!

Have you tried the wedding bouquet flavoring? On cake central there is a address and number you can call and speak with the lady who makes it and she is so sweet and it doesnt take that long to get it once you mail her the check for it. There are 2 different sizes you can order I got the small bottle because I didnt know if I would like it or not.
