It's so neat to come here and see that I am not the only one in the middle of this.

I started on my weight loss plan in March, I am down 29lbs. so far with about 16 to go to my final goal.
As far as what works, when I started, I got a dry erase marker and marked my weight on my bathroom mirror. I "weigh in" in my bathroom every Monday and track my progress on my mirror. I find it keeps me really motivated. Also, it always helps to have a buddy. My Mom has been great support (kudos to her for loosing 48lbs. so far!).
Also, I purchased Wii Fit which I absolutely love. It's fun and easy, as well as motivating!
It's really all about choices and portion control. Good luck and keep it going! If you slip, don't get discouraged, you're allowed to eat what you want once in a while, just make sure to get back on track at your next meal!
