I am sure it is evaporated milk Puzzlegut, unfortunately I'm copying these recipes from my Family Cook book and it does not specify...However, ...I am almost positive it is carnation evaporated milk due to using brown sugar and white sugar, i believe condensed milk would make it way to stiff and sweet.
